Nicole Nathan
Owner/Director

Nicole's dance journey started right here in the Hayward Community! Her classically trained aunt who also owns a successful dance school in Minnesota encouraged Nicole to take dance lessons at an early age and never stopped encouraging her to grow and learn. Taking ballet, jazz, modern, pointe, hip hop & ballroom lessons from two local studios inspired her at a young age, she spent many summers at Just For Kix dance camps, and eventually Nicole organized the Hayward High School's one and only dance team back in 2001 where she gained experience in leadership and developing choreography.

Having 12+ years of dance training combined with a 15+ year professional career in Health/Fitness & Yoga, Nicole seeks to continue sharing her passion for movement to inspire future generations of dancers & movers!  She believes strongly in self study and persists in her continuing education to bring to her students the very best! In 2021, she became certified with Dance Teacher University and continues to develop her teaching skills by seeking training with Dance Teacher Web, CLI Studios, the Godrey Method and is currently working to become mUvmethod certified.
Being an influential role in young people's lives and sharing the power of what Dance can do for confidence, self-discipline and community building is what drives her lead HDE forward into the future of exceptional dance education!

Brianna Paine
Lead Teacher

With one glance, anyone would be able to tell Brianna is a well-trained and passionate dancer at heart! Her love of dance began early in life in her hometown of Oakdale, Minnesota where she studied various styles of studio dance including Jazz & Tap.
Her interest in competitive dance opened the door to creating her high school's very own dance team. As she went on to pursue her design degree in college, she stayed connected to her dance roots by dancing with UW-Stout's dance team.
Brianna has a natural aptitude for choreography & creativity. Her dedication to teaching young people to enjoy dancing all while expressing themselves in a positive, fun environment is bar none!
Just as she encourages her dancers to never stop growing, Brianna has completed dance teacher training with Dance Teacher University and is working to become tap teacher certified through the iTap Teacher Training program!
Brianna is truly an invaluable asset and role model to the youth of our community in so many ways!

Amelia Cummings
Lead Teacher

Amelia has a true love and appreciation for dance, especially for sharing that love with young people! Amelia leads our PreK & Kindergarten dancers with her firm, nurturing guidance and has been doing so since 2016!
Amelia also started her dancing journey right here in the Hayward Community, taking lessons for many years under the direction of Pam Stuchal at the Hayward Dance Studio. She and Nicole were good friends and shared their love of dance together throughout High School.
Her ability to display patience and kindness with her students all while being professional and thorough in the classroom is masterful and teachers of all levels can learn from her real-life approach to dance education! Amelia exemplifies QUALITY and we are so thankful she's part of HDE!

Leslie Lambert
Leslie joined the HDE teaching team in 2020 and quickly obtained her Dance Teacher Certification in the summer of 2022! She and Nicole met in high school where they both took lessons at a local studio together and later reconnected to share their love of dance with their hometown community!
Leslie credits her mother and her best friend for helping her discover her love for dancing. She remembers reluctantly going to her very first dance class in kindergarten, but found she was continually inspired and ended up dancing well into her 20's.
While studying in college, she joined Dance Ensemble (an entirely student run club that presented a recital of varying dance styles at the end of every semester).  Leslie graduated with an Early Childhood Education degree from UW-Stout and moved back to the Hayward area to raise her two children.
Her dance repertoire includes ballet and pointe, but she has never shied away from taking tap or jazz. Her desire to inspire and empower young students & women is what pushes Leslie to share her passion of dance & pursue further education!
Leslie is known for her lovely artistry, appreciation for great music and giving her students the opportunity to express themselves in a flexible, open-minded environment!
